“Eager for the switch” – Romano shares transfer news that excites all Liverpool fans

Liverpool Plan Summer Moves After Premier League Triumph

Following their Premier League title win, Liverpool are preparing their strategy for the upcoming summer transfer window, with a primary focus on replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold. The England international has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season, with a move to Real Madrid reportedly on the cards.

As the Reds begin their summer business, the search for a new right-back is underway. Alexander-Arnold leaves behind a legacy that includes two Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph, making his replacement a key priority.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has shared a key update regarding Liverpool’s interest in Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong. Writing on X, Romano stated that Liverpool are well-informed about Frimpong’s situation, including the payment structure of his €35–40 million release clause.

Frimpong remains a top target for Liverpool, and it’s believed he would be open to making the switch to Anfield. With speculation mounting, the Dutch defender appears ready for a new challenge after an impressive campaign with Bundesliga champions Leverkusen.

Frimpong has delivered standout performances this season, tallying four league goals and six assists, along with five assists in the Champions League. His attacking flair and creativity make him a strong candidate to fit into Arne Slot’s squad, especially given the growing Dutch presence at the club.

In addition to a new right-back, Liverpool are also targeting reinforcements at left-back, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez emerging as their leading option for that role.
