Christian Falk reports that Liverpool are showing interest in a player seen as the €100 million-rated successor to Mohamed Salah.
Respected German journalist Christian Falk has delivered a major transfer update, revealing that Liverpool are among the clubs interested in Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.
The French international, who previously impressed at Crystal Palace, has elevated his game since moving to Bayern, scoring 20 goals across all competitions last season and starting the current campaign with three goals in three games.
Writing in his CF Bayern Insider column, Falk states that Liverpool, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain are all monitoring Olise. However, the deal could be difficult to pull off, as the 23-year-old does not have a release clause in his contract, and Bayern are unwilling to sell. Transfermarkt currently values him at €100 million.
With Mohamed Salah entering the later stages of his career, Olise is being tipped as a potential long-term replacement. His pace, technical ability, and goal-scoring threat from the right flank make him a strong candidate to fill the Egyptian star’s boots.
Falk confirmed: “It is TRUE: Premier League clubs have Michael Olise on their radar,” adding that PSG are also keen, especially given Olise’s French roots. He noted that although Newcastle made a strong push for the winger earlier, Bayern ultimately won the race for his signature.
Now, with interest growing from some of Europe’s elite, Bayern remain firm in their stance that the player is not for sale.
