Liverpool have reportedly allowed Kostas Tsimikas to undergo a medical examination with AS Roma as part of a season-long loan deal. The Greek left-back has struggled for playing time under new manager Arne Slot, having been left out of the matchday squad for the first three games of the season.

According to The Athletic, the agreement is for a straight loan without an option to buy. While Liverpool were initially open to a permanent sale, they’re now hoping the 29-year-old can impress during his stint in Serie A and attract interest ahead of next summer.

The Reds have been very active this summer, reshaping their squad significantly since their title-winning campaign.
