Liverpool are weighing up a move for a player widely known for having one of football’s most questionable haircuts.

Liverpool are said to be exploring a potential move for Borussia Dortmund right-back Julian Ryerson as cover for the injured Conor Bradley.
Bradley picked up a serious injury during the recent 0-0 draw away at Arsenal, prompting the Reds to assess their options in the market. According to Absolut Fussball, Ryerson has emerged as a possible January target. The Dortmund defender has impressed in Germany, operating mainly as a right wing-back but also showing versatility by featuring on the left and in central defensive roles.
That said, Ryerson has also drawn attention for reasons beyond his footballing ability — most notably a questionable leopard-print hairstyle he sported until fairly recently. While appearances clearly aren’t everything, it’s certainly an eye-catching detail that hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Liverpool’s right-back situation
Liverpool lost Trent Alexander-Arnold last summer and responded by signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. Frimpong has often been deployed further forward, allowing Bradley to establish himself as the first-choice right-back, with Dominik Szoboszlai also covering the role when needed.
With Bradley now expected to be sidelined for a lengthy period, a versatile option like Ryerson could appeal to Arne Slot. The Norway international has contributed one goal and ten assists across club and international competitions this season, underlining his effectiveness at both ends of the pitch.
However, despite the speculation, David Ornstein has reported that Liverpool are not currently prioritising the signing of a right-back this month. As a result, it remains to be seen whether interest in Ryerson develops into anything more concrete.
