The five-time Champions League winner, now 35, was watching the European match from the TNT booth, marking one of his first appearances on a football pitch since retiring after the 2022 World Cup.

Bale has a long history with both clubs, having faced Liverpool multiple times as a Tottenham player in the Premier League. In 2018, he famously scored twice, including a stunning bicycle kick, in Real Madrid’s Champions League final victory over Liverpool.
