Ruben Amorim takes bold action just two games into his tenure as Manchester United manager.

Ruben Amorim has implemented a significant behind-the-scenes change at Manchester United as he works to revive their season.

The 39-year-old officially began his role during the recent international break, succeeding Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed last month. Despite arriving at a seemingly opportune time with a favorable set of fixtures, Amorim’s early weeks at Old Trafford have proven challenging.

His tenure started with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town, followed by a hard-fought 3-2 comeback victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League. As the team prepares to face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday, Amorim has reportedly introduced a fresh approach at Carrington.

According to The Telegraph, Amorim has appointed specialized coaches for different areas of the squad, with specific staff assigned to work with defenders, midfielders, and forwards. This modern coaching approach marks a departure from Erik ten Hag’s traditional method of overseeing full team sessions.

Amorim brought several trusted staff members from Sporting CP, including Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro, and Paulo Barreira, while retaining Darren Fletcher, Andreas Georgson, and Craig Mawson from United’s existing setup. He has emphasized the importance of his coaching team in helping the squad adapt to his preferred 3-4-3 system and playing style.

Reflecting on his coaching philosophy, Amorim explained, “Videos over 12 minutes don’t work. Instead, we focus on practical methods, with specialized staff like Carlos working closely with the strikers.”

Following the Ipswich draw, Amorim urged patience, acknowledging the difficulties of implementing significant changes amid a packed schedule. “The players are trying to adapt and execute the instructions, but this transformation will take time.
