Salah set up Cody Gakpo’s opener with a brilliant pass and converted a penalty in the second half after Luis Diaz was fouled, bringing his goal tally to 13 this season and helping Liverpool extend their lead over Arsenal to nine points.

However, Carragher’s focus was on Salah’s recent public comments about his contract situation. The former Reds defender expressed disappointment after Salah revealed he hadn’t received a contract offer and suggested he was “probably more out than in.” Carragher labeled Salah’s remarks “selfish” and contrasted them with Virgil van Dijk’s approach, praising the Dutchman for consistently deflecting contract-related questions.
