Among those at risk of missing the game is Brazilian center-back Gabriel, who had to be substituted in Arsenal’s last two matches. Gabriel played a vital role in Saturday’s 5-2 victory over West Ham, scoring the opener and winning a penalty but was forced off at halftime due to an ongoing injury.

“It was related to the previous injury he had in Lisbon,” Mikel Arteta explained after the match. “He did great to play, but with the result secured and the niggle he felt, we decided to take him off.”

Arsenal’s midfield is also under strain, with both Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey missing the West Ham match. “Unfortunately, they picked up injuries, and the game came too soon for them,” Arteta noted.
