Manchester United and Real Madrid are preparing to compete for a “classy” €50m Bundesliga star, with Liverpool also showing interest.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are reportedly set to compete with Liverpool for one of the Bundesliga’s most promising young talents, Hugo Larsson of Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Swedish midfielder, praised as a “classy and creative talent,” has also been linked with Arsenal and Spurs. According to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, both United and Real Madrid are now strongly pursuing Larsson, who made his international debut in January 2023.

Currently, Frankfurt sits second in the Bundesliga and third in the Europa League, with Larsson contributing four goals this season. Having joined from Malmö in 2023, the 20-year-old has a contract until 2029 but is open to a move to an elite club. Frankfurt may consider selling if they receive a “top offer” of at least €50 million.

Real Madrid’s interest in Larsson dates back to his Malmö days, while RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund previously missed out on signing him. Larsson is known for his “strength, technical skill, and exceptional ball control,” making him a perfect fit for possession-dominant teams. Many top European clubs are also monitoring him, highlighting his potential as a “formidable force in the attacking phase.”

His next appearance will be in the DFB Pokal clash against Leipzig on Wednesday.
