Liverpool’s underperforming goalkeeper Loris Karius has been surprisingly linked with a potential transfer that could leave the football world astonished.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, currently without a club since his contract with Newcastle United expired in 2024, first made his name at Mainz, where he became their youngest-ever Bundesliga goalkeeper. Now, reports from BILD suggest that Bayern Munich is considering signing Karius as a short-term solution amid a goalkeeper crisis. With Manuel Neuer sidelined due to a broken rib and Sven Ulreich unavailable for personal reasons, Bayern has relied on Daniel Peretz but may seek a more experienced backup. Manager Vincent Kompany expressed hope that Neuer would return by January, but the team needs reinforcements sooner to maintain their momentum at the top of the Bundesliga and improve their Champions League standings.
