An insider reveals that Liverpool considers Antonee Robinson to be the “perfect addition” to their squad.

Liverpool reportedly see Antonee Robinson as the “ideal” successor to Andy Robertson, amid uncertainty over the latter’s long-term future at the club. According to former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains highly connected within football, Liverpool’s interest in Robinson has intensified following his impressive performance at Anfield.

Robinson, a standout performer for Fulham this season with six assists in 16 Premier League games, has drawn attention from several top English clubs. His ability to overlap and attack down the left flank has made him a prime target for Liverpool as they seek to strengthen their options at left-back.

While Robinson tops Liverpool’s list of potential replacements, the club is also scouting alternatives in Europe due to the high price tags typically associated with Premier League players. Brown noted that a deal for Robinson is feasible, but a January transfer is unlikely.

“There aren’t many top left-backs available, and that makes the search even harder,” Brown told Football Insider. “Robinson has a style very similar to Robertson, constantly pushing forward and creating threats. Over the past few years, Robertson has been unmatched in this role, but Robinson is now proving to be just as capable.”

Brown added that Liverpool considers Robinson the best option to fill Robertson’s shoes, reinforcing their view of him as the ideal long-term replacement.
