Tottenham fans share a unified reaction after a crushing 6-3 defeat to Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their frustration on social media following a crushing 6-3 home defeat to Liverpool, with many sharing a common sentiment about the club’s issues.
After Chelsea failed to capitalize on their match at Goodison Park, Liverpool seized the chance to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League. Goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Mohamed Salah secured an emphatic victory for the Reds.
In the aftermath, Tottenham supporters flooded online platforms to pinpoint a single cause for the humiliating loss to the league leaders. While some outsiders questioned Ange Postecoglou’s job security, Spurs fans rallied behind the manager, instead directing their anger at the club’s ownership.
One fan defended Postecoglou, saying: “The squad is decimated and full of kids. No other manager would do better with this team right now. Keep the pressure on the board and Levy so Ange gets the tools he needs.”
Another added: “Liverpool fans would never accept or tolerate a Daniel Levy or ENIC for five years, let alone 24. They would never put up with such garbage from their owners!”
A third fan didn’t hold back: “The club is a disgrace, embarrassing us and turning us into a laughing stock for 25 years. Things weren’t perfect before them, but we never had this. Daniel Levy, Cullen, and the rest of them are an absolute disgrace. Just leave… please.”
Before the match, fans protested outside the stadium against the ownership, holding black balloons with the message “Levy Out.” During the game, some of these balloons made their way onto the pitch, with striker Dominic Solanke even tripping on one.
The result puts Liverpool four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand against Everton. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s struggles continue, leaving them 11th in the league and eight points adrift of the top four.
