Mo Salah delivers three-word reply to query on new Liverpool deal after victory against Tottenham.

Mo Salah offered a three-word response to questions about his contract situation following another record-breaking performance for Liverpool.

The Reds extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points with a dominant 6-3 victory over Tottenham on Sunday. Salah contributed two goals and two assists, becoming the first player in Premier League history to record 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas. His contributions also moved him up to fourth in Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts, surpassing Billy Liddell with 229 goals. Salah remains 117 goals behind Ian Rush, Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer, whose tally of 346 goals in 660 games left Salah in awe.

“Of course, it’s something great to achieve at such a big club, but the most important thing is we won the game. To have the achievement is great,” Salah told Sky Sports. Reflecting on Rush’s record, he added, “I don’t know how he scored that many goals, to be honest! I think the football back then was seven versus seven, not 11 versus 11. He’s a great legend for the club.”

With Salah’s current contract expiring in the summer, Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison asked if there were updates regarding his future. However, Salah simply replied, “No, nothing,” ending the interview.

Salah’s comments on his future last month

Last month, following Liverpool’s win over Southampton, Salah told reporters he had not received any contract offers from the club. He stated, “We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club, so I’m probably more out than in. There is no club like this, but in the end, it’s not in my hands. Let’s wait and see.”
