Mark Goldbridge reveals shocking news about Mason Mount’s injury, which could be a major setback for the Manchester United star.

Manchester United supporter and YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has shared a significant update on Mason Mount’s latest injury setback.

After regaining fitness and earning a place in Ruben Amorim’s starting XI for United’s clash with Manchester City, Mount’s fortunes took another turn for the worse. The 25-year-old had to leave the pitch after just 14 minutes due to injury, with Kobbie Mainoo replacing him. Clearly emotional, Mount later addressed the situation on Instagram, expressing his devastation:

“Words can’t portray how devastated I’m feeling right now, you could probably see the look on my face when it happened. I’ve said this before, but I will continue to give everything, get through this tough period, and won’t stop until that’s achieved.”

On Monday, Goldbridge posted on social media, claiming that Mount might be sidelined until March: “Mount out till March…forget it.” However, no official confirmation has been made by the club regarding the duration of Mount’s recovery. Goldbridge’s comments appear to be based on unverified reports about the injury’s severity.

When questioned about Mount’s condition, United manager Ruben Amorim admitted: “[He will be out for] several weeks. I don’t know the exact date, but it’s going to be for long. And that’s it, it’s part of football, and you continue.”

On Sunday, Mount was seen in the stands at Old Trafford as Manchester United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth. Goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert, and Antoine Semenyo sealed the win for the visitors, leaving United in the bottom half of the Premier League table heading into Christmas—a rare and troubling position for the club.
