Ruben Amorim delivers his harshest response yet regarding Marcus Rashford.

Ruben Amorim offered a blunt and brutally honest response when questioned about Marcus Rashford’s absence during Manchester United’s 2-0 loss to Wolves at Molineux.

The 39-year-old manager witnessed a lackluster performance from his team, which now sits 14th in the Premier League, just seven points above the relegation zone. The match was marred by Bruno Fernandes receiving a red card early in the second half, followed by Wolves capitalizing with goals from Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan.

However, it was Amorim’s remarks about Rashford, who was left out of the squad for the fourth consecutive match, that drew the most attention. The United forward, who had recently expressed interest in a “new challenge” during an interview on December 17, was again omitted.

When asked about Rashford’s absence, Amorim told Prime Video:
“It’s always the same reason. We have to be the same professionals, the same people, whether we are winning or losing. Losing, I have to be stronger. I will continue with my idea until the end.”

When pressed further on whether Rashford had been showing anything different in training, Amorim curtly replied, “If he’s not here, you can make up your mind.”

Rashford has reportedly drawn interest from clubs like PSG and Saudi Arabian sides, fueling speculation about his future. Fans were divided on Amorim’s comments, with some defending Rashford’s importance to the team, while others suggested it might be time for him to move on.

United’s next test will come against Newcastle at Old Trafford on December 30, followed by a challenging trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on January 5.
