Arsenal considering an extraordinary swap deal as they target an ideal replacement for Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal have reportedly identified a potential replacement for Bukayo Saka following the winger’s serious hamstring injury sustained during the 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Saka will be sidelined for “many weeks” after being forced off in the first half of the match. The 23-year-old will also miss Arsenal’s home game against Ipswich Town.

Saka recently consulted a specialist to evaluate the injury’s severity, with reports suggesting surgery may not be necessary. Avoiding surgery would shorten his recovery time, though official confirmation is still pending. In the meantime, Arteta has acknowledged the need to find “solutions” to cover the absence of one of Arsenal’s most crucial players.

According to Italian outlet MilanLive, Arsenal are considering AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze as a potential solution. The Nigerian international, who has reportedly fallen out of favor under manager Paulo Fonseca, could be available for just €20 million. Aston Villa, led by former Arsenal manager Unai Emery, are also said to be interested in Chukwueze.

To facilitate a deal, Arsenal might allow Jakub Kiwior to move in the opposite direction. Both Milan and Juventus are reportedly keen on the Polish defender, who joined Arsenal from Spezia in January 2023. Despite being Arsenal’s third-choice center-back this season due to defensive injuries, Kiwior has been linked with a move away from the Emirates.

Milan’s interest in Kiwior may stem from their own defensive challenges, with center-back Fikayo Tomori reportedly attracting interest from Juventus ahead of a potential 2025 bid. Currently, Milan sit eighth in Serie A, eight points behind Lazio, who occupy the final Champions League qualificatio

n spot.
