A second Liverpool player is reportedly eager to move to Spain as Real Madrid closes in on signing Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Trent Alexander-Arnold may not be the only Liverpool player eyeing a potential move to Spain, according to recent reports.

Real Madrid have prioritized signing the England international, especially with captain and right-back Dani Carvajal sidelined by an ACL injury. Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires this summer, appeared to address rumors linking him to the 15-time European champions with his celebration against West Ham on December 29.

On December 31, Paul Joyce of The Times reported that Real Madrid approached Liverpool for a potential January transfer. However, Liverpool reportedly rejected the proposal outright, offering “little encouragement” for further negotiations. Real Madrid are said to be willing to pay £20 million to secure Alexander-Arnold in January.

Meanwhile, Luis Díaz has also attracted interest from Spain. Barcelona, who were linked with Díaz in the summer, remain keen on the Colombian forward. Despite Díaz’s stellar form for Liverpool this season—scoring 12 goals across all competitions—reports suggest he is not entirely satisfied at Anfield, with his entourage frustrated by the club’s reluctance to improve his contract.

Barcelona’s sporting director Deco is reportedly a strong admirer of Díaz and believes he could be the key player to elevate the team. While Barcelona failed to secure Díaz last summer, they remain optimistic about revisiting the deal. Other names like Rafael Leão, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nico Williams are also on Barcelona’s radar, but Díaz remains their top priority.

Díaz’s contract runs until 2027, and Liverpool are reportedly calm about the situation. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano previously noted that several clubs expressed interest in Díaz last summer, though no serious negotiations occurred. Liverpool are now said to be working on a new contract for Díaz, aiming to secure his long-term future at

the club.
