Winger Luis Díaz has reportedly turned down the club’s initial offer to extend his current deal.

Díaz, who is contracted until the summer of 2027, is said to be unhappy with the first offer, claiming it undervalues his contributions and importance to the team since joining from Porto in January 2022. Liverpool are keen to secure an extension to avoid a repeat of the uncertain situations involving Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold.

If Díaz becomes available, Barcelona are reportedly interested in the Colombian winger as they seek to bolster their left flank. However, Liverpool are unlikely to let him go easily, especially given his exceptional form this season. With 12 goals in 25 appearances so far, Díaz has already equaled his best goal tally for the club, achieved over 51 games last season.
