Real Madrid fans are completely fed up with one player after witnessing Barcelona’s dominant victory over their team.

Real Madrid supporters are furious with one player following their team’s humiliating defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

Despite taking an early lead through Kylian Mbappe in the El Clasico clash in Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid quickly crumbled. Barcelona dominated, going 4-1 up by halftime thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Alejandro Balde. The second half started just as poorly for Real, with Raphinha scoring again to make it 5-1 before Rodrygo pulled one back, leaving the final score at 5-2.

Fans were particularly critical of Aurelien Tchouameni, the £80 million signing from AS Monaco in 2022. The French international, a natural defensive midfielder, has been playing as a makeshift center-back alongside Antonio Rudiger due to injuries. However, his performance, including a poor defensive effort for Yamal’s equalizer, sparked widespread outrage on social media. Many blamed both Tchouameni and manager Carlo Ancelotti for persisting with him in an unfamiliar role instead of using young center-back Raul Asencio.

Some fans have gone so far as to declare that Tchouameni isn’t good enough to play regularly for Real Madrid. On social media platform X, one fan wrote, “I was so wrong about Tchouameni; he’s one of the worst footballers I’ve ever seen.” Another added, “Tchouameni is a great player, but every time I watch him, he looks like the worst player ever.”

Criticism of the 24-year-old ranged from frustration with his slow and clumsy play to claims he lacks positional awareness. Others dismissed his £80 million price tag as an overpayment, with one user commenting, “Tchouameni got a bag for being tall and nonchalant. We were scammed.”

Amid the backlash, Tchouameni has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League. Liverpool, who previously tried to sign him, remain interested, while Manchester City are reportedly prepared to fund a summer transfer. Some Real fans appear eager to see him leave

the club.
