Real Madrid have reportedly identified Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, who was seen attending a match and has been instructed to prepare for the role.

Reports suggest that Real Madrid have already selected Carlo Ancelotti’s successor as first-team manager.

Ancelotti, currently in his second stint at the club, first managed Los Blancos between 2013 and 2015, securing a Champions League title during that period. Despite being dismissed, he was reappointed in 2021 by president Florentino Perez. His second spell has been more fruitful, with two additional Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles added to his record.

However, this season has been inconsistent. Real Madrid sit second in La Liga, trailing Atletico Madrid, and have suffered heavy defeats in two El Clasico encounters against Barcelona, with an aggregate score of 9-2 across different competitions. In the Champions League, they have won just three of six group stage games and are yet to secure a spot in the knockout stages, raising questions about Ancelotti’s future.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the club has already identified a replacement. Former manager Santiago Solari, who was spotted at Anfield during Real Madrid’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier this season, has reportedly been informed to “be ready” if the club decides to part ways with Ancelotti.

Solari previously managed Real Madrid from October 2018 to March 2019, overseeing 32 games but losing eight before being dismissed. Despite his brief tenure, he maintains strong ties to the club, having played for Real between 2000 and 2005 and frequently attending matches at the Bernabeu.
