Michael Owen suggests that Liverpool could consider signing Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah if the Egyptian departs Anfield this summer. Speculation continues to surround Salah and two other key players, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, as all three near the end of their current contracts.

While Salah has expressed a desire to stay, no agreement has been reached, and Liverpool recently rejected an approach from Real Madrid for Alexander-Arnold. Keeping the English defender may prove more challenging than retaining Salah or Van Dijk for various reasons.

Semenyo, who has impressed this season with Bournemouth, showcased his talent with a stunning left-footed goal against Chelsea on Tuesday night, his seventh of the Premier League campaign.
