Pep Guardiola highlights the sole positive aspect of Manchester City’s recent losing streak.

Despite Manchester City losing four consecutive games with several key players sidelined, Pep Guardiola has found a silver lining in the difficult period. With Ruben Dias and John Stones injured, and Nathan Ake and Manu Akanji unavailable, Guardiola had to field a makeshift defense against Brighton. This included a half-fit Kyle Walker, Rico Lewis playing out of position, Josko Gvardiol at center-back, and 19-year-old Jahmai Simpson-Pusey making his Premier League debut.

Guardiola was particularly impressed with Simpson-Pusey, praising his composure and performance under challenging circumstances. The manager noted that despite the young defender’s lack of usual support, Simpson-Pusey stood out and is now considered a promising option for the future. Guardiola expressed his satisfaction, saying that even in tough times, there are positive developments, and Simpson-Pusey’s performance is one of them.
