Liverpool among four major clubs willing to pay £62 million for ex-Man Utd star in a stunning summer transfer move.

Liverpool are reportedly among four major clubs vying to sign former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood in a surprising transfer battle.

The Reds, who have only added Federico Chiesa to their squad in the last two transfer windows, are expected to have a busy summer. With Darwin Núñez linked to a potential swap deal for a Premier League star, Liverpool are also looking to strengthen their attacking options.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool have identified Greenwood as a target ahead of the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old, who moved to Marseille from Man United last summer for £26.6 million, has been in prolific form, scoring 15 goals this season, including 14 in 23 league matches.

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Juventus are also in the race for Greenwood, but Marseille have placed a £62 million price tag on him. While this fee could be too steep for Barca, Liverpool, Bayern, and Juve are reportedly prepared to meet the valuation.

Greenwood was previously linked with Barcelona before joining Marseille and had an impressive loan spell at Getafe, scoring 10 goals. His performances in Ligue 1 have put him back on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.
