Gary Neville has predicted that Liverpool will secure the Premier League title by late April but remains uncertain about their chances of lifting the Champions League trophy the following month.

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, the former Manchester United defender expressed doubts about Liverpool’s Champions League prospects, even questioning whether they would get past PSG. He stated, “I’m not quite sure I see Liverpool winning the Champions League. You can never write them off, but I just don’t quite see it. It wouldn’t surprise me if they went out this week. It’s a 50-50 game—Liverpool could win, but so could PSG. They’re a good side.”

Liverpool must significantly improve from their first-leg display if they hope to avoid an early Champions League exit, similar to their round-of-16 elimination against Atletico Madrid in 2020. Despite some dismissive comments from the PSG camp in recent days, Slot’s squad will be highly motivated to prove their critics wrong. With the Premier League title seemingly within reach, Liverpool will be determined to keep their Champions League hopes alive, aiming to replicate their historic domestic and European double from the 1983/84 season.
