Reports suggest that a Manchester City star is likely to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, as clubs in the Saudi Pro League intensify their transfer interest.
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs, who are keen to bring him to the league alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Although Manchester City resisted offers last summer—particularly from Al-Ittihad, who actively pursued De Bruyne—his popularity in Saudi Arabia has continued to grow.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) remains committed to adding top European players, hoping to include De Bruyne among recent signings like Neymar Jr., Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante, following Ronaldo’s January 2023 move to Al-Nassr.
De Bruyne’s future at City is uncertain due to frequent injuries. This season, he’s missed 10 games with a hamstring injury, and last season he was sidelined for 35 games across club and international matches. Though City declined to sell him earlier, they might reconsider if injuries persist, especially with Saudi interest on the rise and a potential Gulf move possible for De Bruyne next year.

De Bruyne, known for his own exceptional playmaking, has accumulated 255 assists in 619 club games, while Messi boasts an impressive 357 assists in 914 club appearances.
