“I’ve spoken out…” – Liverpool and Arsenal transfer target addresses rumors about his future.
Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has reiterated that he is in no rush to decide his future, despite ongoing transfer speculation linking him with Liverpool and Arsenal.
CaughtOffside reports that Isak is a key summer target for Liverpool, while journalist Ben Jacobs has also linked him with Arsenal. The Swedish international has been in outstanding form for Newcastle this season, netting 22 goals across all competitions and playing a crucial role in their Carabao Cup campaign.
As Newcastle prepares to face Liverpool at Wembley this weekend, Isak remains focused on his current club. When asked about his future, he emphasized that any discussions will wait until the end of the season.
“I’m not really thinking about the summer yet,” Isak told reporters, as quoted by Metro. “That will be a topic once the season is over. No talks have taken place so far. I’ve said many times that I’m happy here, and we are competing for trophies, which is what every footballer wants. We’ve already been to one final and are now in another.”
Isak’s performances have made him an appealing option for Liverpool, who may look for an upgrade on Darwin Núñez. Meanwhile, Arsenal could also benefit from a prolific striker, as Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have struggled with both form and injuries.
