Arsenal are convinced that the ‘incredible’ Premier League player is set to join Liverpool.

Arsenal believe that if Newcastle striker Alexander Isak decides to leave his current club this summer, he is more likely to join Liverpool. The Gunners are planning to strengthen their squad after another season where they are set to miss out on the Premier League title. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has already reported that Arsenal intends to target a striker, winger, midfielder, and full-back in the upcoming transfer window.

Isak, who has been in excellent form with 24 goals and five assists for Newcastle this season, is a top target for Arsenal. However, according to TBR Football, Arsenal feels that Isak would prefer a move to Liverpool if he departs St James’ Park in the summer.

With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz both struggling with injuries and failing to deliver at the level of top strikers like Isak or Erling Haaland, Arsenal’s need for a prolific forward is clear. This may have been a key factor in their inability to clinch the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta.

As Liverpool reportedly shows strong interest in Isak, Arsenal is shifting its focus toward other targets, with Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres now at the top of their list. Liverpool is ready to offer several players in exchange to bring Isak to Anfield, where he could replace Darwin Nunez. Given their belief that Isak favors a move to Liverpool, Arsenal is exploring alternative options, with Gyokeres emerging as a primary candidate. Isak has been described as “absolutely sensational” by Newcastle manager Eddie Howe this season.
