Real Madrid is monitoring a teenage prodigy from Ajax valued at €30 million, according to Romano.

Real Madrid is actively exploring the transfer market for center-back reinforcements. Eder Militao’s severe ACL injury last week is expected to sideline him for at least nine months, and David Alaba’s recovery has been slow as well.

As a result, the club is aiming to bring in a new center-back in January, with the possibility of adding another in the summer. Players like Aymeric Laporte, Castello Lukeba, and Jonathan Tah have been linked to Real Madrid, and now there’s reportedly another name on their list.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid is also tracking Jorrel Hato, a Dutch defender from AFC Ajax. Hato, who joined Ajax in 2018 and rose through their academy, has already made 81 senior appearances at just 18. This season, he has scored three goals and provided four assists in 20 matches for Ajax, showcasing his versatility as both a center-back and left-back.

Hato’s youth, high potential, and top-level experience align with Real Madrid’s target profile, especially as a left-footed center-back. However, with a contract at Ajax running until 2028, Real Madrid may face a significant transfer fee to acquire him.
