Arsenal fans caught awkwardly copying yet another Liverpool chant

Liverpool and Arsenal have delivered one of the most underwhelming title races in recent memory, with our rivals lagging far behind for most of the season. As we edge closer to an early title celebration—potentially marked by Mikel Arteta’s team giving us a guard of honour at Anfield—Arsenal fans have found a curious way to show admiration.

Rather than crafting original chants, as Liverpool fans are renowned for, Arsenal supporters have instead recycled a tune we’ve long used for Luis Díaz. They’ve now repurposed it for Gabriel, singing: “His name is Gabi, he’s from Sao Paulo and he plays for Arsenal.”

It’s reminiscent of when they mimicked our iconic “Allez, Allez, Allez” chant. It’s honestly disappointing that a club with such a large fanbase and rich history would resort to copying both the lyrics and melodies rather than creating their own.

This episode once again highlights the lack of creativity from Arsenal fans. While we can’t claim to have invented “Bella Ciao,” it was our supporters who revived it and gave it life in the Premier League through their passion and originality.

Despite often being painted as the villains of English football, other fanbases still imitate us—proof that Liverpool fans truly lead the way. Meanwhile, down in London, as they lament injury woes, you’d think they’d at least stop proving how much better Liverpool are—on and off the pitch.
