Trent Alexander-Arnold set to leave Liverpool regardless of Ancelotti’s potential Real Madrid exit
Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid switch remains on track despite Ancelotti’s uncertain future
Trent Alexander-Arnold is still expected to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, regardless of whether Carlo Ancelotti stays at the club. Reports from last month indicated that the Liverpool right-back had already agreed to move to Madrid once his contract expires.
Despite Real Madrid’s recent setbacks—including a Champions League exit and a league loss to Arsenal—Alexander-Arnold’s decision hasn’t wavered. Sky Sports suggests Ancelotti could depart after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26, but that won’t impact Real’s pursuit of the defender.
The Spanish giants remain firm in their belief that Alexander-Arnold is the perfect fit, and the player himself is keen to join them, even if it means playing under a new manager. Xabi Alonso, Bayer Leverkusen’s coach and a former Liverpool star, is currently the front-runner to replace Ancelotti.
