Ibou Konaté shows support for Liverpool fans in a brilliant post-match moment against Chelsea.

Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions, and even though Chelsea secured all three points, Ibou Konaté was fully aligned with the fans’ perspective.

After the final whistle, the Liverpool squad made their way over to the travelling supporters to show appreciation, and were greeted with a fresh new chant. Having debuted during the title celebrations, the song dedicated to incoming manager Arne Slot rang out in the capital.

In response, Konaté – wearing the No.5 shirt – joined in with the singing, clapping, and dancing, embracing the joyful atmosphere and demonstrating the kind of spirit supporters love to see from their players.

Similar to Virgil van Dijk’s celebration after scoring, regardless of the result, the team has earned the right to enjoy the closing stages of the campaign.

Though Konaté didn’t feature against Enzo Maresca’s side, it hasn’t dampened his joy at being part of a title-winning team – and with three fixtures still to play, the celebrations are only just beginning.

Despite the loss to Chelsea, the Liverpool fanbase remained upbeat. Konaté’s response reflects the right mindset – the whole squad deserves to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

Perhaps the only exception might be Mo Salah, who still has personal records for goals and assists in his sights.

With the next match set to take place at Anfield, there’ll likely be a renewed determination to challenge Arsenal and help Salah chase his targets.
