When asked how he created space to assist two goals, Palmer responded hesitantly: “Erm… I don’t know. I was trying to find space as the team got going. And yeah.” The TNT Sports interviewer then spoke with Reece James briefly before returning to Palmer with another question — this time about Chelsea completing the full set of European trophies. His reply was again minimal: “To be the only team in history is a great feeling. So yeah.”

Known for his laid-back attitude in interviews, the 23-year-old was also asked if he believed Chelsea had a successful season. Instead of answering, he deflected, gesturing toward James and saying, “Ask the captain.”
