Journalist: There’s an 85% likelihood that Liverpool’s fan-favorite will depart the club this summer.

It’s widely known that Liverpool are seriously targeting Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez ahead of the summer transfer window.

Should the Hungarian defender make the move to Anfield before the new season kicks off, it would likely mean one of either Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas would depart the club. According to Mail Sport’s Lewis Steele, speaking via his YouTube channel, Robertson is expected to stay — leading him to suggest there’s an 80–85% chance that Tsimikas will be the one to leave in the coming weeks.

Clubs including Valencia, Lille, and Leeds are said to be monitoring the Greek international, who was brought to Liverpool by Jurgen Klopp from Olympiacos back in 2020.

Tsimikas has earned cult-hero status among Liverpool fans. Though he’s rarely been first choice, consistently playing backup to Robertson, his attitude and commitment have made him a valuable presence in the squad. His recent Instagram tribute after the team’s title parade reflects his deep affection for both the club and the city — making the idea of his departure a bittersweet one.

Still, he’ll be aware that if Kerkez joins, opportunities to play will become even scarcer next season.
