This commitment reflects the strong pull of Anfield, where current players like Harvey Elliott are reluctant to leave and potential signings are eager to join.

Crystal Palace had accepted a £35 million deal in principle, but late complications emerged even after a deadline extension form was submitted, ultimately causing the move to fall through. This turn of events reportedly left Liverpool’s senior decision-makers frustrated with how the process was handled.
