Report: How Chelsea feel about a move for Liverpool-linked star in January

Chelsea Unlikely to Pursue Marc Guehi in January Despite Defensive Needs

Chelsea are not prioritizing a move for Marc Guehi ahead of the January transfer window. Although the Crystal Palace defender has attracted interest from several clubs and will be out of contract at the end of the season, Chelsea aren’t actively pushing to bring him back, according to TEAMtalk.

Guehi was previously linked with Liverpool over the summer, but no deal materialized. Despite Chelsea’s defensive issues—with Levi Colwill sidelined long-term due to an ACL injury and Benoit Badiashile only recently returning to fitness—the club does not currently see Guehi as a key target.

The 25-year-old, who came through Chelsea’s academy, could offer immediate impact and stability at the back. He’s proven himself as a dependable Premier League defender and could strengthen Chelsea’s defense, but a reunion appears unlikely at this stage.
