The Scottish right-back was ineligible for the Champions League group-stage match at the Stade Velodrome, as he exceeds the age limit for List B by five months.
Ramsay has featured on the bench in recent league games, and his role has grown following Conor Bradley’s season-ending injury. Speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference, Slot also noted that Federico Chiesa is “50-50” for the Bournemouth game but reported no other fresh injury concerns.
While Slot previously suggested he had “better options” at right-back than the 22-year-old, including Jeremie Frimpong, his inclusion in the squad signals he remains part of the coach’s plans.
