Arsenal shows interest in Real Madrid standout player.

Title-chasing Arsenal welcomes in-form Nottingham Forest as the Premier League resumes this weekend.

The Gunners, runners-up in the past two seasons, were expected to challenge strongly for the title this year. However, after 11 games, they sit nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool. A disappointing run of two draws and two defeats in their last four matches has dented their title hopes, but Mikel Arteta will aim to reignite their campaign against Forest on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Arsenal appears to be eyeing a potential move for Real Madrid’s highly-rated youngster, Arda Guler.

According to reports from Sport via GiveMeSport, the North London club is closely monitoring the Turkish winger’s situation. Guler, who joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce last year, has struggled for regular game time under Carlo Ancelotti, competing with stars like Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., and Rodrygo.

The 19-year-old has made only 24 appearances for the reigning Champions League holders, starting just three La Liga games this season. Arsenal reportedly sees parallels between Guler’s situation and that of current captain Martin Ødegaard, who also faced limited opportunities at Real Madrid before thriving at Arsenal.

The Gunners are said to be considering a loan move for Guler, potentially following a path similar to Ødegaard’s, who initially joined Arsenal on loan before securing a permanent transfer in 2021.
