The Argentine, who has struggled for regular game time this season under Enzo Maresca, has dropped in the midfield pecking order, with Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia preferred as the first-choice pairing.
The report suggests Atletico Madrid is keen on a six-month loan deal for Fernandez with an option for a permanent transfer. Chelsea is said to be open to offers, and the player is reportedly considering an exit from Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window.
