The 32-year-old forward candidly addressed his uncertain future, stating, “We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club. I’m probably more out than in.” When asked if the situation disappointed him, Salah responded, “Of course,” adding that he is focusing on winning the Premier League and Champions League this season despite his frustration.

Salah’s openness about his contract situation has been a recurring topic. Back in September, after Liverpool’s 3-0 victory against Manchester United, he hinted that this season could be his last at the club, emphasizing that his future depends on Liverpool’s decision. Salah is one of three key players, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contracts are set to expire this summer.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher criticized Salah’s timing, noting the upcoming matches against Real Madrid and Manchester City should be Liverpool’s main focus. He highlighted that Salah rarely speaks to the press, making this his third appearance in the mixed zone during his seven years at the club. Carragher admitted he is eager for both Salah and Liverpool to find common ground on contract negotiations, but he felt the player’s public comments could have been better timed.
