After a goalless first half, Liverpool took the lead in the 52nd minute through Alexis Mac Allister. However, shortly after, Mac Allister’s attempt to make it 2-0 was blocked, and at the other end, Real Madrid won a penalty after Andy Robertson fouled Lucas Vazquez.
