An independent commission began hearings on the case on 16 September, originally expected to last about 10 weeks. Sources indicate that this delay pushes the expected verdict to late April or early May, given the complexity of the case. The Premier League season concludes on 25 May, with City set to face Fulham in London on the final day.

A full resolution of the case is unlikely before late 2025, as City’s legal team is expected to appeal any potential sanctions. Throughout this ongoing legal dispute, the club has consistently maintained its innocence.
