Liverpool star Alisson expresses willingness to join another club amid speculation of Giorgi Mamardashvili’s imminent arrival.

Alisson Becker has hinted at a potential move to a specific club once his time at Liverpool comes to an end.

The 32-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper, widely regarded as one of the best in the world, has faced injury challenges in recent years. This has allowed Liverpool’s backup keeper, Caoimhín Kelleher, to step up, with the Irishman notably saving Kylian Mbappe’s penalty during Liverpool’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Real Madrid.

Competition for Liverpool’s goalkeeping spot is set to intensify next season as Giorgi Mamardashvili joins the squad on July 1, 2025, following a deal agreed upon in August 2024. This leaves the futures of Alisson, Kelleher, and the team’s goalkeeping hierarchy in question.

Speaking to Vozesdogigante, Alisson shared insights about his future plans. “I watch all of Internacional’s games,” he said. “I have three years left on my Liverpool contract. The future is uncertain for everyone, but in football, I hope to fulfill my contract in England. After that… I’m open to returning [to Internacional].”

Alisson’s current deal runs until 2026, with an optional extension for another year. Despite a hamstring injury sidelining him since October 5, manager Arne Slot has reaffirmed that Alisson remains Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper when fit.

Last summer, Alisson attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs but chose to stay at Anfield. “When the interest from Saudi came, I couldn’t ignore it completely,” Alisson told The Independent in August 2024. “But my focus has always been on achieving success with Liverpool.”
