Man City ‘provide Pep Guardiola with £200m for January signings’ as they aim to secure three elite players.

Manchester City are reportedly set to provide Pep Guardiola with a £200million budget for the January transfer window in response to their challenging start to the season.

The reigning champions, aiming for a fifth consecutive Premier League title, have struggled, with Guardiola experiencing an unprecedented five-game losing streak. City have also conceded two or more goals in six consecutive matches for the first time since 1963, including a 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham in their last league match.

Despite these setbacks, Guardiola, who recently signed a contract extension, has vowed to revitalize his squad. Speaking to Express.co.uk, he stated, “I want to be there and rebuild the team in many aspects from now until the end of the season and next season.”

City had initially allocated £100million for potential January reinforcements, but their recent slump has reportedly led to that figure being doubled. The increased budget is expected to target key signings, including Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi (£60million), Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres (£65million), and Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes (£75mill
