Ruben Dias had a tense exchange with a journalist after Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Portuguese defender, who recently returned from injury, started the match but couldn’t help City avoid another disappointing result. Liverpool’s convincing win moved them nine points ahead of second-placed Arsenal and 11 clear of City, who dropped to fifth following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa earlier in the day.

Speaking to ViaPlay after the game, Dias focused on their next fixture against Nottingham Forest, saying, “Our analysis is easy right now; we want to win, and that’s all that’s on our mind.” He acknowledged the challenge of playing at Anfield, calling it a difficult venue but praised his team for showing character.

When pressed further about how the team handled the defeat, Dias appeared frustrated, responding, “You’re talking to one of the teams that has won the most in recent years. Maybe think about that and trust that we know how to deal with it.”

The reporter then attempted to shift the conversation, asking how City planned to turn things around. Dias replied curtly, “Easy. Next game. One game at a time.” He added that tough matches like these reveal the “warriors” in the squad.

The loss marked City’s seventh consecutive game without a win. They’ll face Nottingham Forest at the Etihad on December 4 and Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on December 7, but given their poor form, it remains uncertain how they will perform.
