Gravenberch shares the key factor behind his significant progress under Arne Slot’s guidance.

Ryan Gravenberch has made an outstanding start to the 2024/25 season under Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot. The 22-year-old midfielder has become a key figure for the Reds, showing remarkable improvement and featuring in nearly every game. The only match he missed was Liverpool’s 5-1 EFL Cup victory over West Ham, where Slot opted to rest him.

So far, Gravenberch has earned two ‘Man of the Match’ awards: one in Liverpool’s 3-1 triumph over AC Milan at the San Siro, and another in their recent 2-1 Premier League win against Wolves. His synergy with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister has been pivotal, as the trio has consistently dominated the midfield. This marks a significant contrast to last season, where under Jurgen Klopp, Gravenberch started just 12 Premier League matches, with Wataru Endo often preferred in the lineup.
