Liverpool fans believe Mo Salah has hinted at his contract situation in his recent Instagram post.

Liverpool fans are convinced that Mo Salah hinted at news regarding his contract with a recent Instagram post, following a new update from David Ornstein. Salah’s current contract with the Premier League leaders is set to expire at the end of the season. His comments last month, when he stated he was “probably more out than in” after a match-winning performance at Southampton, had worried fans. The Egyptian also revealed he had not yet received an official offer from the club, meaning he could negotiate with foreign clubs for a free transfer.

Despite the uncertainty, Salah has continued to perform at a high level for Liverpool, scoring against Manchester City and Newcastle. On Sunday, Ornstein reported that Liverpool had submitted a first contract proposal to Salah, and there was growing confidence that Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold would all stay with the club.

While nothing has been signed, Liverpool fans believe Salah’s Instagram post hints at an impending agreement. Salah shared a video featuring burning incense with white smoke, which supporters have interpreted as a symbolic reference to a contract deal, as white smoke traditionally signifies an agreement or consensus. Fans quickly speculated that the post was a subtle nod to his contract situation, with one commenting, “Salah posting white smoke on his Instagram story is surely not a coincidence to the rumours of a contract extension!”

Although Salah will turn 33 in June, he continues to perform at an exceptional level, having scored 15 goals in 21 appearances this season. Negotiations over the length of his contract have reportedly been a point of contention, but Salah remains confident he can continue playing at the highest level for years to come.
