Jadon Sancho sheds light on the contrast between his experiences at Chelsea and Manchester United in a rare post-match interview.

Jadon Sancho reflected on his strong start at Chelsea following his crucial goal in their thrilling 4-3 victory over Tottenham.

Chelsea moved up to second in the Premier League on Sunday, with goals from Sancho, Cole Palmer (twice), and Enzo Fernandez securing a dramatic comeback win in North London. The Blues delivered another impressive performance, overturning a two-goal deficit to claim their fourth consecutive league victory.

Sancho was one of the standout players, contributing eight goals and assists in just 11 games since arriving on loan from Manchester United. His resurgence at Chelsea comes after a challenging stint at Old Trafford, where he was sidelined from first-team training and later relegated to the academy squad following tensions with Erik ten Hag. A brief return to Borussia Dortmund on loan preceded his move to Stamford Bridge, where he now seems to be thriving.

In a post-match interview with Premier League Matchday Live, Sancho shared his thoughts on Chelsea’s comeback. Reflecting on the early setback, he said, “To be fair, I have a lot of trust in this squad, so I wasn’t too fazed once we got the first goal back.”

Discussing his goal, he explained, “There was a one-on-one opportunity where I saw the chance to cut inside, and I thought, ‘Why not take a shot?’ In training, I’ve been focusing on my shooting, especially aiming for the far corner, so I’m very pleased with that.”

When former Arsenal striker Ian Wright remarked on his return to form, Sancho revealed, “From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome. I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do.”

Grateful for the support from Chelsea, Sancho added, “I have to thank the whole Chelsea team and staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity. I’m just taking it game by game, and hopefully, I can keep this form going.”
