Chelsea have been warned to brace for Cole Palmer’s potential departure, as two clubs are reportedly ready to present him with an irresistible offer.

A former Chelsea defender has warned the club about the potential departure of Cole Palmer, a move that would send shockwaves through the football world.

The 22-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in just 15 league games, bringing his total tally for Chelsea to an impressive 36 goals in 62 appearances.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in September 2023, a transfer that initially raised questions among fans given his involvement in Pep Guardiola’s pre-season plans. However, he quickly silenced doubters, earning the PFA Young Player of the Year award after a stellar debut season at Stamford Bridge. His performances also secured him a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024, where he scored in the final against Spain, despite England’s 2-1 loss.

Former Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham defender William Gallas has now urged Chelsea to prepare for interest from Europe’s elite clubs. Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas suggested that only Real Madrid or Barcelona could lure Palmer away, highlighting his potential to excel in Spain.

“This might happen in three seasons, but Chelsea fans should hope those clubs don’t come knocking anytime soon,” Gallas said.

While it’s unclear if either La Liga giant is actively pursuing Palmer, reports suggest the player has expressed interest in joining Real Madrid. However, Chelsea has reportedly set a £200m price tag, which has cooled Madrid’s interest for now. Palmer remains under contract with Chelsea until 2026, following a two-year extension in Aug

ust 2024.
