“Reports suggest Trent Alexander-Arnold could exit

Liverpool fans are coming to terms with the possibility of Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving the club after reports emerged about stalled contract negotiations.

The Reds are reportedly £100,000-a-week short of meeting the England international’s demands for a five-year deal. While Liverpool have offered a £70,000-a-week pay rise on his current £180,000-a-week salary, Alexander-Arnold is said to be holding out for a £350,000-a-week agreement.

With his current deal expiring at the end of the season, the right-back will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs in January. Speculation has linked him with a potential move to Real Madrid, although no agreements have been reached yet.

Many Liverpool supporters believe Alexander-Arnold will depart in the summer, with some blaming the defender for his high wage demands. Fans have argued he is “not worth £300k+-a-week,” with others suggesting the club should “let him go” if he prioritizes becoming a “superstar” over being a leader for his boyhood team.
