Diogo Jota sparks excitement among Liverpool fans with his Christmas gift idea for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Diogo Jota has addressed Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold amid ongoing uncertainty over the defender’s contract situation, while also revealing his humorous choice for a Christmas gift.

Alexander-Arnold, who made his Liverpool debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2016 after rising through the club’s academy, has become a key player for the Reds. Now 26, he has made 330 appearances, scored 19 goals, and played an instrumental role in securing numerous trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, two League Cups, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Despite his contributions, questions linger about Alexander-Arnold’s future, as his current deal expires in the summer of 2025. Without a new contract, he could leave for free, with Real Madrid reportedly interested. He is one of several crucial players, including Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, whose contracts are set to expire around the same time.

Recently, Alexander-Arnold commented on his contract discussions, telling Sky Sports: “I’ve been at the club for 20 years, signed four or five extensions, and none of them were public—this one won’t be either.”

Jota, who joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020 for £41m and has since scored 61 goals in 157 matches, didn’t shy away from sharing his thoughts on the matter. When asked by Sky Sports what he would gift Alexander-Arnold for Christmas, Jota quipped: “A pen so he can sign his con

tract.”
